How to Start your own Tooth Gems Business- Application Steps and Materials List

Steps to applying a temporary tooth gem:
Clean the tooth for 10-20 seconds with a dental etch. Then wipe off.
Apply a dental bonding agent to the tooth and the back of the tooth gem
Take your UV curing light and cure your tooth with the bonding agent. Then cure the bond on the back of the tooth gem. This should be a quick couple of seconds.
Carefully place the tooth gem on the tooth and align it to where you want it placed.
UV cure the entire area of the tooth you are working on. Depending on your strength of your curing light small keychain ones should be on for at least 3mins. Handheld curing lights can range anywhere from 5 to 10 seconds.
Materials Needed:
1. Dental Etch
The percentage of etch you purchase should be no higher than 40% phosphoric acid.
You can purchase etch here. Make sure you have enough attachment tips and dispose the tip after each use.
2. Dental Bonding Agent or Bonding Resin
You can purchase this light cured bonding resin here.
3. Dental Curing Light
There are multiple places you can purchase curing lights. Make sure it is for Dental. Depending on the strength of your curing light the time varies on how long you cure your tooth gem for and can range from $25-$1000

4. Tooth Gems
There are many places you can find tooth gems including places like www.twinkle.net for various designs. Remember if you are using a Swarovski crystal they vary in sizes and the smallest ones would be around 1-1.5mm.

Please note: I am not a Dentist and I am not advising medical information. This is based on my personal experience and trials as well as my experience working as an orthodontic assistant. If you are trying to start a business make sure to find consent forms you can find online so you are not responsible for the potential damage to anyone's teeth. People with tooth gems should be advised to keep the area clean as bacteria can get trapped between the gem and the tooth. Bonding process should allow the tooth gem to stay on for around 2 weeks but could fall off sooner or before the 2 week span.
