How decluttering changed my life- The Marie Kondo Method
Has anyone else been inspired by watching the original Netflix series starring Marie Kondo. This professional tidying consultant has inspired my mental state and she is sparking joy by reinventing your living space. Inspired by the Japanese Art of Decluttering Kondo breaks down the physical act of tidying into two aspects: deciding whether or not to dispose/donate something or deciding where to put it. People must realize tidying is a tool to help improve your daily living situation and mental state versus expecting an end goal.
Once you tidy up a room realize that you will most likely repeat the same cleaning process. You should find ways to simplify your everyday/weekly cleaning tasks and be conscious about the items you purchase to add to your collection of things.

The tips that helped me declutter:
Start with clothes
Move on to Books
Then papers
Miscellaneous items
Sentimental items
I make sure I separate my 2 piles between donations and trash. I like donating to local good wills but if you need some extra cash try doing to stores that will pay you money for your used brand named clothes like Uptown Cheapskate.
